Bernard "Bernie" Alphonse Palmer, age 85, entered into rest Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Festus Manor. He was a supervisor for LaRoche Chemical Company, a U.S. Army veteran who served in WW II and a member of Fairview Christian Church.Born November 28, 1926, in St Mary, Missouri, to the late William and Mary (Schweigert) Palmer.
Survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 47 years, Tiny (Oberle)Palmer of Crystal City; daughters: Linda (John) Grawcock of Kokomo, Indiana, Denise (Bud) Goodman of Columia, Illinois and Jodi (Patrick) Sammari of St Louis, Missouri; brother, Ray Palmer of St Mary, Missouri; sister, Jean Wehner of Lebanon, Missori; grandchild, Kerri (Pat) Dulany of Hillsboro, Missouri; and 5 grandchildren: Brittany, Brooke, Sami, Brenna and Arianna. He is preceded in death by his parents: William and Mary (Schweigert) Palmer; son, David Palmer; brothers: Fred Palmer, George Palmer and Francis Palmer; sisters: Willa Meyer, Ann Baumann, Catherine Otte, Clara Uding, Rose Menzel and Liz Schilli.
He was a member of VFW Post #3777; he enjoyed playing cards, bingo and sports.
Pastor Norm Bell will officiate service.
