John Owens Long, age 68, of Wildwood (formerly of DeSoto, Missouri) entered into rest at The Quarters at Des Peres in St Louis. He was a Polygraph Analyst for the FBI, in Florida, New York and St Louis, for 30 years. In previous years he had been an Art Teacher and Basketball Coach for the DeSoto School District; he enjoyed old movies, baseball, his work and cooking at the camp during the deer hunting season. Born December 14, 1943 to the late Charles B. and Julia "Connie" (Reeves) Long.

He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife of almost 21 years, Mary Lou (Pond) Long of Wildwood; daughters: Lorie (Adam Reisz) Long of St Louis and Mandy (Wes) Gregory of St Louis; and 3 grandchildren: Olivia Reisz, Riley Gregory and Charley Gregory. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Long.

Father John Kerber will officiate service.
