Obituary
James D. Haithcoat, age 78, entered into rest Monday, July 9, 2012 at his Festus residence. He was retired from Kloster Construction, St Louis and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Cardinal fan and enjoyed racing slot cars and making model airplanes. Born June 6, 1934, in New Madrid, Missouri, to the late Baker and Hazel (Moss) Haithcoat.

Survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 44 years, Evelyn (Schneider) Haithcoat; son, Michael (Charisse) Haithcoat of Festus; daughters: Brenda Harper of Crystal City and Robin Thorne of Sanford, FL; brothers: Bill (Beverly) Haithcoat of Big Cabin, OK and Tom (Juanita) Haithcoat of Imperial; sisters: Vicki (the late Pete) Hatchett of Scottsdale, AZ, Toni (David) Van Fossen of Circleville, OH and Terri (the late Bill) Jackson of Scottsdale, AZ; brother-in-law, David (Marcia) Schneider of Lemay, MO; 5 grandchildren: Josh Wendt, Samantha Brumit, Beverly Brumit, Zach Wendt and Caleb Joseph Willem; many nieces and nephews; and his dogs and special companions: Chachette, Little Bit, Socks and Neo. He is preceded in death by his parents: Baker and Hazel Haithcoat; son, Chris Harper; brothers: Jack Haithcoat and Sandy Haithcoat and brother-in-law, Danny Lee Marlowe.

Eddie Oates will officiate service.
