Jim Varvel, 41, of French Village, entered into rest on October 14, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, due to injuries from a motorcycle accident in St. Francois County.
Mr. Varvel was a US Army veteran of Desert Storm and he was a truck driver for Werner Enterprises.
Born on December 14, 1970 in Iowa City, Iowa; the son of Rick Varvel, Sapulpa, OK and Nancy (Matthews) Tsivinsky of Bernie, MO.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of 12 years, Crystal (Kiel) Varvel of French Village, MO, a son, Jamie Varvel of Erie, CO, two daughters, Brittny Varvel of Redding, CA and Olivia Varvel of Erie, CO and a sister, Cathy (Tom) Vaiasicca of Paradise, CA; father-in-law, Richard Warren of Coldwater, MO; mother-in-law, Kay Kendall of Coldwater, MO; two brother-in-laws: Walter (Ashley) Kendall of Bonne Terre and Michael (Tracy) Kendall of Hawaii; sister-in-law, Sherry (Helmut Schmitz-finacee) Kendall; stepdaughter, Dameris French of St Louis; two adopted daughters: Aimee and Katie Yoakum of Novelty, MO; 7 nieces and nephews; and his dog, Bonkers.
Preceded in death by his stepfather, Larry Trippy; grandparents, Burt and Margery Matthews.
Jim enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, hunting and spending time with his wife, family and friends.
Chris Robinette will officiate service.
