Obituary
Lucy Elizabeth Fields, born June 23, 1920 in Huntsville, Al, entered into rest on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 56 years, Luke Fields, her parents, Rev. Albert Lee and Viola (Cobourn) Winkles, Step-Mother, Maggie McCormick Winkles, Son, Jimmy Fields, Grandson, James Daniel Fields, a great grandson Johnny Dietrich Fields and Grandson-in-law, George Walton, Jr. She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Freeman Winkles, Arlon Winkle, Ephraim Winkles and Ebert Winkles.

Lucy is survived by Sons, Alton (Christine) Fields Sr., of Hillsboro and Bobby (Lily) Fields of Hillsboro, Special Foster Daughter, Janet (Richard) Deckman of Wright City, MO, Brother, Avery (Margie) Winkles of Nashville,TN, Sisters, Vera Butler of Collinsville AL, Margie Winkles of Grant, AL, Veda Chapman of VanCleve, MS, Sisters-in-law, Sue Winkle of Saraland, AL, Martha Winkles of Waynesboro, MS, Special Friends, Devert & Ruth Combs and Dominique Siegler, 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Kimberlyn and Cadence Burnett; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lucy was a homemaker and provided homes through Foster Care to over 105 children in a 21 year period. She loved gardening, flowers and quilting. She was a member of Rose of Sharon Church in DeSoto. Pastor Carl McKalip will officiate the service.
