Hazel M. Pitts, 84, of Bonne Terre, (formerly of DeSoto) entered into rest at the St. Joseph Nursing Center, Bonne Terre on February 4, 2013. Hazel was a cook for Traveler Cafe; she enjoyed sewing, great cooking and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bonne Terre and the Desloge VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Born February 5, 1928 in Buick, Missouri; she was the daughter of the late Robert L and Cora D. (nee Flowers) Barton. Her loving husband, Lester L. Pitts preceded her in death.
Mrs. Pitts is survived by her sons: James (Lois) Worley of Texas, Charles Worley of Park Hills, MO, Willard Worle of Florida, Leslie Pitts of DeSoto, Jimmy (Mary) Pitts and David Pitts, all of St. Louis; daughters: Brenda of Florida, Patsy of West Virginia, Sheleia Eddington of St. Louis, Judy Pitts of St. Louis, Mary Pitts of High Ridge and Connie Pitts of Oakville; four brothers: Major, Reldon, Ronald and Wayne; three sisters, Juanita, Thelda and Betty; and numerous grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, Chester and Anthony.
