Kenneth Woodrow Pogue, age 82, of Festus, died on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. Born on September 24, 1930, in Redford, MO to the late Otho "Peck" and Marie (Wilson) Pogue. He is survived by his daughters: Betty Jean (Thomas) Halley of Pevely, MO and Patricia Ann (Michael) Auer of Festus, MO, grandchildren: Tricia (Dave) Johnson, Christie (Danny) Harness, Kenneth (Melissa) Carter, Danielle (Jeremy) Johnson and Ashely Auer, great grandchildren: Sydney Johnson, Zach Johnson, Tyler Harness, Brody Harness, Lucy Johnson, Ben Johnson, Aiden Carter and Audrey Carter,brothers: Jack (Emma Lou) Pogue of Hillsboro, MO, and Gerald (Reda) Pogue of Arnold, MO, sisters: Diane (Ben) Morrison of Redford, MO, Reva (Edward) Gilmer of Redford, MO, Elaine Albert of Redford, MO, Gail (Kenny) Townsend of St Charles, MO, Mary Brandel of Farmington, MO and Vicky (James) Campbell of Hillsboro, MO, sister in laws: Imogene Pogue of Ellington, MO and Peggy Pogue of Centerville, MO. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ann (Sadler) Pogue, brothers: Wendell Pogue and Wayne Pogue and brother in law: Carl Albert.
He was a millwright for Continental Can Company and was the retired co-owner of Fantasy Pools. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corpos. An avid horseshoe pitcher, he was a member of the National Pitchers Association.
