William "Bill" Heuer, 69, of Chesterfield,(formerly of Hillsboro for 30 years) entered into rest on October 21, 2013 at Delmar Gardens on the Green Nursing Center. Mr. Heuer was a diesel mechanic on heavy equipment and had also worked for the government. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Desoto VFW Post 1831, Elks Lodge 689, and Amvets Post #48; he enjoyed hunting, woodworking and riding his motorcycle. Born October 10, 1944 in St. Louis; he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Crawford) Heuer, Sr.
Mr. Heuer is survived by two sons: Kevin (Casey) Heuer of Pearland, Texas and Michael (April) Heuer of Troy, MO; four grandchildren: Blake, Emily, Ally, and Lani; a brother, James (Nancy) Heuer of Lake St. Louis, MO, and a sister, Margaret Voisey of South County in St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Richard Voisey.
Rev. Gene Moses will be officiating the funeral service.
DeSoto Amvets Post #48 will hold special service at 7:00PM on Thursday evening.
