Thomas Adolph Poisson, age 71 of Festus entered into rest Friday, November 1, 2013 at St Anthony's Medical Center. He was owner/operator of J & M Office Repair, St Louis and he was a United States Navy veteran and had served in Vietnam. Born March 10, 1942, in St Louis, Missouri, to the late Eugene J. and Ann (Lambert) Poisson.
Survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 46 years, Mary (Karnes) Poisson; sons: Gene (Ann) Poisson of Imperial, Missouri and Mike (Paula) Poisson of St Louis, Missouri; sisters: Carol Weiss of Ballwin, Missouri and Judy Poisson of Ballwin, Missouri; 2 grandchildren: Sam and Emma; nieces and nephews; and special dog, Dakota. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brother, Joseph E. Poisson; sisters: Noella Kienstra and Doris DePauli; and brother-in-laws: Harry Kienstra, Corky DePauli and Don Weiss.
Tom was a member of Our Lady Catholic Church in Festus and Elks Lodge 1721; he was a long-time resident of the Bevo neighborhood and an active parishioner at the St Mary Magdalen Church in St Louis City where he had been scoutmaster for troop 115 and a city fireman; he enjoyed eating at Hodacks Restaurant and was an avid Cardinal fan but most of all he loved his home and enjoyed spending time with his family.
