Lee Roy McNail, age 84, of Pevely, MO entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 7, 2014 at his residence. Born on August 11, 1929, in Centerville, MO to the late Robert A. and Flavy M. (Faulkenberry) McNail. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years: Thelma (Dement) McNail of Pevely, MO, daughters: Connie Stretch and husband Ross of Dittmer, MO, Betty Wosman of Pevely, MO, Paula Caby of Arnold, MO, Deborah McNail of Pevely, MO and Jackie Raspberry and husband Mark of Hillsboro, MO, grandchildren: Kerwin Stretch of Canton, OH, Aundreya Ottens of Arnold, MO, Robert Caby and wife Suzanne of Crystal City, MO, Kevin Finn of Fenton, MO, Kristy Stretch of Dittmer, MO, Rheaunnon Melber and husband Wes of Pevely, MO, Richard Caby and husband Amanda of Pevely, MO, Jonathan Borchelt of Wilkes, ND, Steven Caby and wife Christine of Desoto, MO, Kyle McNail of O'Fallon, MO, Matthew Raspberry of Fairview Heights, IL, Aliesha Elifrits and husband Caleb of Imperial, MO and John McNail of Columbia, MO, great grandchildren: Ashtin Vessells, Hannah Robertson, Ricky Potter, Jonathan Caby, Isabelle Caby, Aiden Caby, Emerson Caby, Dexter Caby, Avery Elfirts, Adelaide Caby, Felix Caby, Jacob Elfirts, brother: Lee Joy McNail of Mineral Point, MO along with several nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog "Sassy".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Mark McNail, son in laws: Bill Wosman and Bruce Caby, brothers: James McNail, Allen McNail, Jesse McNail, Robert McNail, Oather McNail, Edward McNail, and Denver McNail, sisters: Becky Barton, Lucy Tate, Bessie Barnes, Sallie Hill, Lucille Barnes, and Amanda McNail, sister in laws: Alice McNail, Alpha McNail, Opal McNail, Ruby McNail, Marie McNail, Dora McNail, and Norma McNail, brother in laws: Clarence Barton, Floyd Tate, Glen Barnes, Lloyd Hill, and Ruben Barnes. Lee Roy was a retired heavy machine repair man employed by Chrysler Corporation for over 30 years. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War from December 1950 - December 1951. He enlisted in the Army in December 1948. He did his basic training at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. He was stationed at the Joint Long Range Proving Grounds in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He achieved the rank of Sgt First Class. He was a member of Sandy Baptist Church in Hillsboro. He served as a long time board member of Water District #7. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and deer hunting and adored his family.
