Obituary
Marshall Stewart, Jr., age 83, of De Soto, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at St. Johns Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. Born on July 29, 1930 in Osceola, MS to the late Marshall Stewart, Sr. and Minnie (Nee Harper) Stewart. He worked as a truck driver for Jefferson County Highway Department until his retirement; he enjoyed watching western movies (especially John Wayne) and relaxing in his garage.

Survived by his son Richard "Huggy" Stewart of De Soto, daughter Paula Douthit of St. Louis, sister, Mary Stewart, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, adopted sons, Garrick & Tony Rodgers and adopted grandson, Desmond Travis.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ethel M. Stewart, a son, Marshall Stewart III, daughter, Renata Stewart, brothers Benjamin & Wallace Stewart, and a sister, Alta Furlow.

Services will be officiated by Bishop Ron Luellen.
