Paul Roger Govero, age 69, of Tiff, died August 5, 2014 at his home in Tiff. Mr. Govero was a retired tool grinder from McDonnell Douglas. He was a Vietnam War Veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed his family, chickens and "Scratch off" Lottery Tickets! He was born March 14, 1945, in Tiff, he was the son of the late Raymond and Valerie (Boyer) Govero. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Mareth Chamberlain of Bonne Terre.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Susan (Eaton) Ford-Govero of Tiff; and four children; Mike Govero of New Port Richey, FL, Rhonda Ford (Aaron Ballard) of Tiff, Marty (Christie) Govero of Tiff, and Marquette (Bill) Kaempfe of Festus; ten grandchildren: Gretchen (Marty) Simpson, Gabe Ballard, Britany Ballard, Michael Govero, Jr., Lillie Kaempfe, William Kaempfe, Ellee Govero, Josh Kaempfe, Amelia Govero, and Marty Govero; and two great-grandchildren: Taylor Simpson and Hailee Ballard; nine siblings: Veronica "Bonnie" (Charlie) Backof of De Soto, Barbara "Dean" Love of DeSoto, Mary Joyce "Peggy" Young of DeSoto, Curtis "Bud" (Barbara) Govero of Tiff, Clayton "Kay" (Pat) Govero of Bonne Terre, Maxine (Ray) Johnston of DeSoto, Richard (Rae) Govero of Tiff, Mary Ann (Bill) Bourbon of Tiff, and Ronnie Govero of Tiff; one sister-in-law: Jay Govero of Tiff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, his brother: Phillip Govero of Tiff and two brother-in-laws: Harlan Love and Frank Young.
Paul requested before his passing that no wake or funeral services be held. The family will be planning a celebration of his life on his birthday, March 14, 2015.
