Obituary
Ira Francis DeGonia, age 82, of Festus, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Festus, MO. Ira was born on March 21, 1933 in Cadet, MO to the late William Juele & Mary Zeta (Nee Roderique) DeGonia. Ira was a Warehouse Supervisor/Truck Router for McDermitt Company. He was former president of the Hillsboro Little League and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hillsboro. He enjoyed yard sales, auctions, traveling, story telling, visiting and spending time with friends and loved "supervising" construction projects at Church.

Ira is survived by his loving family; sons: David (wife, Kathy) DeGonia of Kirkwood, Wayne (Patricia Hohman) DeGonia of St. Louis; daughters: Judy (husband, Ken) Huffman of Festus, Jana (husband, John) Lause of Ballwin, Sharon (husband, Ron) Smith of Affton, and Jane Bottini of St. Louis; girlfriend, Janice Dixon of Pevely; brother, James (Mildred) DeGonia of Ironton, grandchildren: Jessica (Gary) Kolaski, Mandy (Josh) Holiman, Jason (Vaughn Lococco) Hogan, Lauren Lause, Leah DeGonia, Jenna DeGonia, Mike Smith, Ronda Fouts, TJ (Jenny) Bottini, Christopher Johnson, Dawn (Steve) Menke, and David (Shanelle) Huffman; great-grandchildren: Savannah, John, Grant, Mia, Katlyn, Madden, Quinn, Hunter, and Alissa; close friends: Earl Riddle, Joe Bone, Paul Bone, Mark Hogan, Elvis Moss and Deacon Paul Martin; and many nieces and nephews.

Ira was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn Gaye (nee Willingham) DeGonia, granddaughter, Elicia Hogan, brothers: Ervin, Howard, Oscar, Russell, Robert, Vincent and Bernard DeGonia; sisters: Virginia "Virgie" Pinson, Bernice Boyer, Myrtle Pinson, Oneida DeGonia, and Annie DeGonia.

Fr. Christopher Holtmann will officiate the Mass.
