Lawrence Pinson, 83, of DeSoto passed away July 16, 2007 in Cedar Hill. Mr. Pinson was a painter and carman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in DeSoto and a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army. Born April 3, 1924 in Washington County, Missouri, he was the son of the late Roland and Rosa Pinson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Pinson.

He is survived by two sons: Robert (Emma) Pinson of Wildwood and Dennis Pinson of St. Louis; two daughters: Lisa (Butch) Feagans of St. Louis and Jeanne Sweet of Eureka; two sisters: Evelyn (Earl) Murphy of Bonne Terre and Laurella (Carl) Baisch of DeSoto; two brothers: Roy (Marcella) Pinson and Vincent (Nadine) Pinson; and four grandchildren: Scott Pinson, Sara Feagans and Eric Feagans of St. Louis and Jason Sweet of Springfield, Missouri. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Clifford Pinson, Everett Pinson, Homer Pinson and Linnis Pinson.

Visitation Wednesday, July 18, 2007 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Mahn Funeral Home DeSoto Chapel, funeral service on Thursday morning 10:00a.m. July 19, 2007, officiated by Deacon Ed Boyer.
