Wilbert W. Sexauer, 85, entered into eternal rest at his DeSoto residence on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. He worked as a mechanic for Continental Baking Company, served honorably in the United States Army, was a member of the VFW, Commander of KWVA Chapter 3, the P 38 Club and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of DeSoto, MO. He enjoyed canning, farming and fixing things, but he also loved telling "cornball" jokes. Born May 24, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Walter and Florence (Varwig) Sexauer. Wilbert was married to his loving wife Mary Ann (Conway) Sexauer who passed away in 2003.
He is survived by his loving family which include daughters: Laura (Kerry) Peveler of Clark, MO, Julie (Scott) Smith of Columbia, MO; sons: Walter (wife Jane) Sexauer of Colorado Springs, CO, William F. Sexauer of Germany; grandchildren, Jason Sexauer, Kevin (Heidi) Sexauer, Joshua Sartin, Daniel Sartin, Justin Smith, Patrick Smith, Mary Elizabeth Smith; and great grandchildren, Kaden and Sophia Sexauer.
Pastor Bob Thebeau will officiate the services.
