Obituary
Melba Janett Higdon, 72, (formerly of Festus) entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 13, 2016 at her residence. Janett was a homemaker and member of the Grace Center in Festus. She did crocheting. She enjoyed her girls day outing every month and going to church activities. She was always on the go spending time with friends and family but especially babysitting the children. Born on Monday, April 10, 1944 in Williamsville, Missouri; she was the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy (Nee Dudley) Jaco. Her husband, Robert Leroy Badger preceded her in death in July 1996.

Her surviving family members are her loving children: John (wife, Dawn) Badger of Bonne Terre, Michael (wife, Crystal) Badger of DeSoto and Theresa (husband, David) Hill of Dittmer; her dear siblings: Stanley (wife, Nancy) Jaco of Terre du lac; Ronnie (wife, Wena) Jaco of Indiana, Vernon Jaco of Park Hills, Darrell (wife, Becky) Jaco of Bonne Terre, and Brenda (husband, Terry) Wines of Bonne Terre; dear sister-n-laws: Paula Jaco of Park Hills and Charlotte Hayes of Leadington and a dear brother-n-law,, Bub Pierce of Mexico, MO; six loving grandchildren: Andrew, Kenzie, Devin, Michaela, Virginia and Breeze; and two loving great-grandchildren: Gracie and Dawson.

Janett was also preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Jaco and James Jaco; a sister, Kathy Pierce and a sister-n-law, Betty Jaco.

Pastor Ryan Sutton will be officiating the funeral service.
