Obituary
Ralph Gordon Dickenson died peacefully at his home in Park Hills, Missouri Tuesday morning, October 25, 2016. Born on July 2, 1936, in Silverton, Texas, Mr Dickenson had lived in St Francois County for most of his life. Education was his lifelong career and passion. He was known to many as "Dean Dickenson" with 30 years as Dean of Students at Mineral Area College. He also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Bonnie Dickenson; four daughters and their families; seven grandchildren; and one great grandson, born October 1, 2016.

A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he celebrated his 80th birthday at home this summer, surrounded by children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Dickenson of the home; daughters Karen (Bill) Oglesby of Pecos, Texas, Margi (Dennis) Greene of St Charles, Missouri, Kathleen (David) Drew of Fleming Island, Florida and Vicki Bohnenkamp of Dripping Springs, Texas; grandchildren: Will (Ashley) Oglesby and Matthew Oglesby all of Texas, Ben Cook ( special friend, Joanne Kim) of California, Andrew Cook of St Charles, Missouri, Olivia (Kevin) Deese of Alabama, Austin Drew ( special friend Erika Bocchino)of Florida and Bexar Bohnenkamp of Texas and great grandson, William Silas Deese of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his brother, Don Dickenson.

The family appreciates all the love and support that has been given by friends throughout Mr Dickenson's illness and death. Visitors will be welcome from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, October 28, at the home, 312 Lancewood Dr, Park Hills.
