Melvin Glenwood Williams, age 90, entered into rest January 18, 2017 at Mercy Jefferson Hopital in Festus. He had been Pastor at Community Church of Jefferson County for the last 15 years and was a U.S Navy veteran who served in WW II. He founded Comtrea, set up the probation office and owned AA Manufactured Homes in Festus. Born February 23, 1926, in Doe Run, Missouri, to the late Eugene and Ida Mae (Baker) Williams.

Survived by his wife of 39 years: Mary (Wyatt) Williams; sons: Dan (Gloria) Williams of Hannibal, MO and Gary Williams of Imperial, MO; daughter: Jody Fernandez of St Louis, MO; brother: Chuck Williams; grandchildren: Danny, Robin, Amy, Corey, Kellina, Ian and Carrie: and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother: Chester Williams; and sisters: Laverne Forsythe, Beulah Elser, Helen Thomas, Hazel Chamberlain and Mae Burkett.

Pastor Larry Wallrath will officiate the service.
