| Memorials/Donations Emmanuel Baptist Church 13270 County Rd CC DeSoto, Missouri Obituary Arvill "Bill" Shoemaker 83 of DeSoto, Missouri entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2017 at his home in DeSoto, Missouri. Born in Perkins, Missouri on May 25, 1933 to his late parents James and Clara (St.Cin) Shoemaker. He was a honorably discharged veteran, serving in the Navy. Retired from St. Louis Shipyards and Shapiro's as a welder; involved with the DeSoto Senior Citizens Center and loved to work. Survived by sons Rick Elliott of DeSoto, Missouri, Keith (Darlene) Elliott of Desoto, Missouri and Timothy (Lisa) Shoemaker of DeSoto, Missouri; daughters Karen (Johnny) Adams of DeSoto, Missouri and Tami (Brett) Bins of Crystal City; brother Thomas (Shirley) Shoemaker of Oran, Missouri; sisters Dortha Halter of Chafee, Missouri and Betty West of Troy, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his late parents; brother James Shoemaker; sisters Martha Keen, Lillian Merrick and Rose Anders. | |
