Lee Dora(Farrow) Delaney, 85, DeSoto, passed away on February 19, 2008 in DeSoto. She was born April 2, 1922, in Ft Smith, Arkansas, to the late Harvey and Ethyl (Lloyd) Farrow.
Beloved wife of John H. Delaney of DeSoto. Dearest mother of Laura Delaney, Redding, CA., Mary (Kim) Andersson, and Julie A. (Tim) Flanagan; Loving Grandmother of Richard (Kristen) Dreese, Garrett Dreese, Kirstin (Paul) David, Ryan Andersson, Grant Andersson, and Delaney Andersson; Sweet Great-Grandmother of Kyle Dreese, Alisha Dreese, Christian David, and Ethan David.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Ethel Farrow, five brothers and one sister. Born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas moved to Los Angeles, California as a young child where she obtained most of her schooling and training. She accomplished many things in her life which included professional dancing, haute couture modeling, was a USO performer and was lead cashier from the opening of Disneyland in Anaheim, California where she had frequent contact with Walt Disney himself! She was a dedicated Christian and enjoyed taking an active/leadership role in many church and civic activities.
Her first priority was always as a wife and mother,at which she excelled. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A private family memorial will be held in Redding, California. A local memorial will be held at a future date to be announced. Interment will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
