Wilma Dot Scott, age 84, formerly of Hillsboro, Missouri entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Hillcrest Nursing Center. Wilma was born on December 14, 1932 in Crystal City to the late Rudolph and Stella (Lancaster) Scott. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3553 in Chester IL, Kaskaskia Chapter. She loved her crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed going to the casino.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Welch Sr.; sons, Elbert Welch Jr. and John Monroe Welch; son-in-law, Kenneth LaGarce; brother, Joseph Scott; sisters, LaVerne Thebeau, and Caroline Valle; and brother-in-law, Ray Asbury.
Wilma is survived by her son, Clemons (Kathy) Eugene Welch of Murray, KY; daughters, Cathleen Cicelia LaGarce of St. Louis, Shelby Jo (Michael) Brown of St. Claire, and Cindy Ann Welch of Hillsboro, MO; brothers, Wayne Scott of Las Vegas and Howard (Gerry) Scott of Festus; sisters, Alma Asbury of Chester, IL, Connie Williams of Desoto, MO, Linda McGowen of Desoto, and Barbara Frost of DeSoto; sister-in-law, Brenda Scott of Festus; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
