Steven Edward Brenner age 56 of Blackwell, MO entered into eternal rest on December 20, 2017 at his residence in Blackwell, MO. He was born on April 23, 1961 in Ishpeming, MI to Claire (Martinen) Brenner. Steve was raised in Farmersville, PA by Claire and his adoptive father, Frederick Roy Brenner.
Steve attended Conestoga Valley High School before enlisting in the Marine Corps and proudly serving his country. He worked as a machinist for roughly 40 years and was a proud member of the Elks 689 and Amvets Post 48 in DeSoto, MO. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, reading, waterskiing, and just being on the water and in the outdoors. More than anything else, Steve loved spending time with his family.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Rochelle "Shelly" (Short) Brenner of Blackwell, MO; mother Claire (Martinen) Brenner of Ephrata, PA; daughter Rachel E. Brenner of Arlington, TX; son 2LT Mitchell A. Brenner of Fort Campbell, KY; sisters Danita (Irvin) Martin of Manheim, PA, Amy (Jeffrey) Auker of Lititz, PA, Tanya Worley of Ephrata, PA, Eugenia "Gina" Gough of Allouez, WI, Rita Glyptis of AuTrain, MI, Pamela Glyptis of AuTrain, MI; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Steve was preceded in death on November 22, 2017, by his adoptive father, Frederick Roy Brenner, by his natural father Stavros "Steve" Glyptis and sister Fran Glyptis.
Steve will be laid to rest in Bethlehem Cemetery in the Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky, a land he loved and place where he will forever be surrounded by family.
