Josephine “Jo” Whitter age 79 of Festus, MO formerly of DeSoto and St. Louis, MO entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2018 at Festus Manor in Festus, MO. Born in St. Louis, MO to her late parents Joseph Fennessey and Gertrude (Henderson) Vogler on March 04, 1939.
Jo was a retired cook for Comtrea; member and Deacon of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and Salvation Army Golden Agers Club. Hobbies included pitching horseshoes, embroidering, bowling, playing cards and watching NCIS and Wheel of Fortune. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, great grand kids and grand dogs. She had an wonderful gift of bringing out friendship and love in everyone that met her. She will be dearly missed by family, friends, and all of the extraordinary individuals at Festus Manor.
Survived by her loving family, son Steve Settlemoir of Festus, MO; daughter Maria (Lisa Hardin) Whitter of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Michael, Brian, Bob, Doug, Deanna, Stephanie, Philip, Tony, Jamie, Beth, Trish, Sharon, Mark, Jim, Gary and numerous great grandchildren. Preceded in death by sons Martin Drennen and Tony Settlemoir; husbands Philip Settlemoir and Arvel Whitter; her parents; brothers Don Bobb and Bob Bobb and sister Genevieve McGarvin. Officiating Celebration of Life service Rev. Steve Hardin.
