Obituary
Sylvia Mae DePriest of Festus, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Woodland Manor Nursing Center in Arnold, Missouri at the age of 84 years. She was born on January 8, 1935 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Edna E. (Coulter) Norman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth DePriest, a daughter Judy Myers, and a sister Imogene Cash. Prior to her retirement, Sylvia had been employed for many years with the Bussmann Fuse Company. She was a long-time and faithful member of the Rose of Sharon Full Gospel Temple in DeSoto, Missouri. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and working outdoors, particularly in her garden. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her, including her sisters, Opal Austin of Qulin, Missouri, and Lonabee Worley of Arnold, Missouri, her grandchildren, Jason Crakel and Denetta Gau, her great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be at the Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus, Missouri from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Mahn Twin City Chapel at 11 a.m. with the Reverends Carl McKalip and Keith Gorda officiating. Following the funeral service, Sylvia will be laid to rest at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, Missouri. Memorials if desired may be made to Calvary Bible Way Tabernacle, 759 Lonedell Rd.
