Gerald H (Jerry) Solomon, PE of De Soto, Missouri, passed away on May 24, 2019 at his home at the age of 79. Jerry was born in De Soto to Seraphine Solomon and Marie (nee Pollitte) Solomon on February 18, 1940. He spent his life serving and supporting the community as owner of De Soto Electrical Products and Solomonís Mini Mart. He used his Professional Engineering license to conduct electrical and HVAC contracting for over 50 years. Jerry enjoyed fishing and boating at Lake of the Ozarks with his family.

Jerry is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Dorothy (nee Trunk) and their four sons Mike (Judith), Mark (Rene), Jeff (Karen), and Randy (Brenda) all of De Soto. He will also be greatly missed by eleven grandchildren Erika Wilhoit (John Isaacson), Kelly Fodor (Boston), Emily West (William), Ryan Solomon (Dani), Allison Solomon, Morgan Solomon, Justin Solomon (Kaitlyn Mezinis), Sean Solomon, Richard Armstrong (Amanda), Dr. Laura Ulmer (Eric), Erin Armstrong (Nick Lowe) and twelve great-grandchildren Isaiah Haynes, Mya Wilhoit, Liam Wilhoit, Owen Wilhoit, Greer Fodor, Hailey West, Brooke West, Parker Armstrong, Sofia Armstrong, Calum Armstrong, Leo Ulmer and Reese Ulmer. He is also survived by three brothers Earl (Ginger), Willard (Sharon) and David (Freda), five sisters Marie Ottomeyer (Dave), Maxine Drennen, Imogene Renick, Paula Dodson (Karl), Diane Mahn (Jake).

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patricia Wickerham, and brother-in-laws Paul Drennen and Robert Renick.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on May 28, 2019 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in DeSoto at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in DeSoto.
