Lonnie Junior Freeman, age 68 of St. Louis, Missouri entered into rest January 21, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri. Lonnie was a Vietnam Veteran andproudly served his country in the United States Army. He also had worked as an auto body repair technician. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. Born May 28, 1951, in Brosely, Missouri, he grew up in Arnold to the late Everett and Agnes (Stinson) Freeman.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Michaelson Freeman of St. Louis, two daughters, Stacey Freeman of Arnold, and Rene Freeman of Warrenton, two brothers, Ronald (Nancy) Freeman of Festus, Donnie Freeman of Pevely, two grandchildren, Abigail DePrender, and Eli Spaulding.
In addition to his parents, Lonnie is preceded in death by his four sisters, Joan White, Barbara Cheatham, Shirley Gossett, and Joyce Freeman.
He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend and he didn't know a stranger. He would give you the shirt off his back. He was always a man who put his family first and would do anything necessary in being there for them. He was a great provider for his family and was a role model to his girls.
Private interment will be held on a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
