Obituary
Junior Ray Green, 78, of DeSoto passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Festus Manor Nursing Center. He was born on March 31, 1941 at Greenbrier, Missouri son of the late Linus and Christine (Storz) Green. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annie (Peek) Green; four brothers, Randy Green, Theodore Green, Burette Green, and Eldon Green and four sisters, Janette Creason, Loretta Thorn, Charlotte Warner and Vivian Green.

Junior was a retired shipbuilder having worked many years as a Leadman for the St. Louis Ship & Steel Company and was a member of the Free Trinity Pentecostal Church of Marston, Missouri. He enjoyed gardening, going to family reunions, listening to Gospel Music, attending church and church revivals and especially spending time with his family. He once said “As I look back on life, I can say it was good, but the best is still yet to come.”

He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him including his four children, Steve Green of French Village, Missouri, Kenny Green of DeSoto, Missouri, Jeffrey Green of Perryville, Missouri, and Debbie (& Joe) Jakoubek of Desoto; two brothers Dennis Green of Imperial, Missouri and Richard (& Kathy) Green of Pevely, Missouri; two sisters Geraldine (& Don) Strange of DeSoto, Missouri and Brenda Green of Afton, Missouri; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives, dear friends, and neighbors.

Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Derek Jones.
