Obituary
Ronald Lee Huskey was born on March 9, 1951 in DeSoto, Missouri and departed this life on April 8, 2020 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus, Missouri at the age of 69 years. He was the son of Mary E. (Payton) Huskey-Warmbrodt and the late Victor Huskey, Jr.

Ronnie was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a member of the First Baptist Church of DeSoto, the DeSoto VFW Post 1831, and DeSoto Amvets Post 48. He was a retired mechanic and worked many years with his father at Huskey’s Service Station in DeSoto and later for Thurman Motors in Festus. In his spare time, he enjoyed target shooting and competing in shooting matches and gardening, but his favorite pass-time was being on the open road riding his Harley.

He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him including his mother Mary E. (Payton) Huskey-Warmbrodt of Desloge, Missouri, three daughters, Lisa Bieg of DeSoto, Missouri, Ronika Boren of Leadwood, Missouri, and Victoria Huskey of Sullivan, Missouri, a sister Patricia Matheny of DeSoto, Missouri, three brothers, Dale Huskey of DeSoto, Missouri, Robert Huskey of DeSoto, Missouri, and Bruce Huskey of Desloge, Missouri. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends and neighbors.

Private services were held under the direction of the Mahn Funeral Home of DeSoto, Missouri and Interment was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. The family plans to hold a public memorial service with full military honors at a later date when the current restrictions are lifted.
