Russel Brian McKenzie, 44, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 in Festus, Missouri. He was born November 10, 1975 in St. Louis, MO, to the late Michael Lee McKenzie Sr. and Madeline Marie (Love) McKenzie.
Russel served our country proud as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps for four years.
Russel worked as a Grounds Foreman for Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for 12 years.
Russel attended Oak Bridge Community Church in Arnold, Missouri.
He was a member of Elks Lodge Festus-Crystal City #1721. He enjoyed fishing, playing poker, grilling, entertaining, a social butterfly but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Marie (Pantano) McKenzie of Festus, Missouri, his mother, Madeline Marie McKenzie of Festus, Missouri, his sons, Andrew McKenzie and Daylen Wagoner of Festus, Missouri, his daughters, Destiny McKenzie of Imperial, Missouri and Taylor Pantano of Festus, Missouri, his brothers, Michael Lee and wife Rebecca McKenzie, Jr. of Cecil, Alabama, and Matthew McKenzie of Bloomsdale, Missouri.
Russel was preceded in death by his father, Michael Lee McKenzie, Sr.
Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahn Funeral Home of Festus, Missouri.
