Myrtle L. Missey (Coleman), 91, Cadet, died July 16, 2020 in Cadet. She was born December 15, 1928 in Washington County, MO, the daughter of the late Jim and Rose (Hill) Coleman. She was married to Pat Missey on July 11, 1945.

Myrtle worked for many years at the shoe factories in DeSoto. She was a fancy stitcher and instructor. She was a very good homemaker and cook. She and Pat loved their large family and were very good parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. They enjoyed all the holidays with big dinners, barbecues, and family gatherings. She enjoyed their Branson vacations and playing euchre with friends and family and she loved playing cards with her card groups She was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Joyce Cheatham of Festus, Patricia (Jim) King of Valley View, Texas, and Marsha Faye (Benny) Merseal of Cadet; four sons, Roger Missey of St Charles, Keith (Sharon) Missey of Blackwell, Kevin (Barbara) Missey of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Derrill Missey of DeSoto; 25 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Etheil Davis, Edna DeClue, and Lillian Luther; five brothers, Paul, Russell, Jimmy, Leo and Lawrence Coleman; two grandchildren, Jamie King and Dale Missey; and two great-grandchildren, Madeline Villmer and Charli Anna Merseal.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Mahn Funeral Home DeSoto, Missouri. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at St Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines, with Father Tony Datillo officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Mahn Funeral Home DeSoto, Missouri.
