Vincent Orville Coleman, 87, of Festus, Missouri, passed away, Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Crystal City, Missouri. He was born November 11, 1932 in Cannon Mines, Missouri, son of Alexis David Coleman and Mary Francis (Boyer) Coleman.
Vincent worked as a bus driver for 20 years until his retirement in 2018 for the Jefferson R-7 School District. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, collecting steins, being outdoors, but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Festus and the VFW Post 3777.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Crystal City, Missouri.
On, Oct. 15, 1955 in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, De Soto, Missouri he was united in marriage to Galena Ruth McCullough and to this union three children were born. They shared 64 wonderful years together.
He is survived by his wife, Galena Ruth Coleman of Festus, Missouri, his children, Alex and Clarissa Coleman of Festus, Missouri, Vincent Coleman of Crystal City, Missouri, and, Angela Marie and Mark Shell of French Village, Missouri, his brother, Wendell Coleman of Crystal City, Missouri, his twelve grandchildren, his seventeen great grandchildren, his two great great grandchildren on the way, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Vincent was preceded in death by his father, Alexis David Coleman, his mother, Mary Francis Coleman, his sister, Loretta and Frank Boyer, and his sister-in-law Irma lee Coleman.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, July 28, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Father Matt officiating.
Friends will be received at Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus, Missouri Monday, July 27, 2020, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
