Obituary
Sarah Frances (Plunk) Hamby, 84, of Arnold, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Tesson Heights, St. Louis, Missouri. She was born November 14, 1935 in Finger, Tennessee, daughter of Charles David Plunk and Lillie Vallie (King) Plunk.

Sarah worked as a beautician for many years and worked as a clerk until her retirement from McDonnell Douglas.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Festus, Missouri.

She is survived by her two daughters, Dianna (Robert) Evans of Thornton, Colorado, and Debra McMurray of Saint Louis, her two daughters-in-law, Laura Hamby of Imperial, Debbie Hamby of Cedar Hill, her brother Robert Plunk of Hayti, her two sisters, Shirley Babb of Hayti, and Helen Corbin of Lambart, Mississippi, her three sisters-in-law, Virginia Plunk of Indiana, Bonnie Plunk of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Joy Plunk of Knoxville, Tennessee, her grandchildren, Holly, Jennifer, William, Amy, Jason, and Mariah, her ten great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Sarah was preceded in death by husband, John W. Hamby, her two sons, David Hamby, and Duane Hamby, her three brothers, G.W. Plunk, William "Bill" Plunk, and Fred Plunk, her sister-in-law, Isabella Plunk, her two brothers-in-law, Charles Babb, and John Corbin.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2020, Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus, Missouri, with Brother Gary Bookout officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Francois Memorial Gardens, Bonne Terre, Missouri.

Friends will be received at Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus, Missouri Friday, September 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m., until the time of services.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahn Funeral Home Twin City Chapel, Festus, Missouri.
