Obituary
Jo Marie Watson was born October 12, 1948 in Clarksdale, Mississippi and left this life September 26, 2020 at 3:43p.m. Jo Marie was born to James Martin Cook and Virgie Virginia Cook.

She is survived by her children, Thomas “Skip” Joseph Watson and wife Kelly of Summerville, South Carolina, Robert Gary Watson, Jr. and wife Stacey of Eureka, Missouri, and Carrie Helen Watson of Summerville, South Carolina, her eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, her brothers, Jimmy Cook and wife Dorothy of Osceola, Arkansas and John Cook and Osceola, Arkansas, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Jo was preceded in death by her father, James Martin Cook, her mother, Virgie Virginia Cook, her husband, Robert Gary Watson, her sibling, Leroy Cook, Robert "Popeye" Cook, Charles Cook, David Wayne Cook, Infant J.M. Cook, Georgia Yon-Cook, Virgie Suzie Cox, Magie Helen Russ, Edna "Gail" Rippe, and Cheryl Shepperson.

She was a member of Radiant Life Church of Festus, Missouri. Jo was an incredible cook, loved sitting on the pier in South Carolina drinking her coffee while looking out into the ocean. She was known as Momma Jo to more than hundred foster kids that had been with her over the years.

As a youth Jo Marie grew up in both Helena Arkansas and Wilson, Arkansas. She married Robert Gary Watson on December 27, 1968 in Osceola, Arkansas and to this union three children were born and many grandchildren. They shared 50 years of marriage together.

Mom restaurant owner and caterer for thirty plus years. She spent her entire life as a volunteer and charity organizer. She helped run the Toys for Tots for twenty years and spearheaded it in Jefferson County. She worked in the church with the food pantry and put on dinners to feed people in need. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally she will truly be missed by family and all that knew her.

Services will be held at Radiant Life Church, October 2, 2020 at 11:00 am with Pastor Randy Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri.

Friends will be received at Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus, Missouri Thursday, October 1, 2020, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
