Richard Robert “Rich” Jenkins of Cabot, Arkansas formerly of DeSoto, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at his residence at the age of 74 years. He was born on October 14, 1945 in St Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Richard Irvin and Helen M (Hartzell) Jenkins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Lee Orlando.

Rich was a faithful member of the Mountain Springs Baptist Church of Cabot, Arkansas and a proud United States Navy Veteran. For many years he made his home in DeSoto, and he and Brenda were the former owners of the Arlington Hotel, operating it from 1996 to 2005. He was a former member of the DeSoto Lions Club, Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. Rich was a talented artist and enjoyed painting. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing, writing, and being with his family, but will also be remembered for his willingness to witness to others about his faith in Jesus Christ.

Rich is survived by his wife Brenda Kaye (Parker) Jenkins, three sons, Jeremy (& Crystal) Jenkins of Farmington, MO, Kenneth “Kenny” Mueller-Jenkins of Rolla, MO and Richard (& Lisa) Jenkins of Hillsboro, MO, three daughters, Misty (& Mark) Stone of Brewton, AL, Kimberly Jenkins of Cabot, AR and Sarah (& Marc) Tirres of Freeport, Fl, three sisters, Sue (& Robert) Vinyard of Caledonia, MO, Joy Ellen Baker of Maryland Heights, MO and Cheri Jean (& Louie) Volner of Rosebud, MO, fifteen grandchildren, Lacey Mueller, Alex O’Keane, Sadie Stone, Elijah Stone, Cassidy Coles, Sierra Coles, Bobby Euton, Makayla Tirres, Shylah Tirres, Cayden Tirres, Gage Tirres, Kyle Jenkins, Connor Jenkins, Brenden Jenkins, Trenten Jenkins and three great grandchildren, Ella O’Keane, Edward Rhett O’Keane and Jackson Butler.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto. A service will be at 11 am, Friday, October 2, 2020 at Mahn DeSoto Chapel. Interment will follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, St Louis, MO.
