| Memorials/Donations In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to donors choice Obituary Mary Jane Schmitt of DeSoto, Missouri passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Mercy St Louis, Missouri, at the age of 78. She was born on April 18, 1942 at Indian Mound, Tennessee to the late Noel and Mary (Bess) Tyson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Frank and Kenny Tyson; and a sister Betty Kiel. Mary enjoyed working in the family business, caring for her family’s needs and spending time with her grandson and other family members and friends. Mary is survived by her husband Anthony S. Schmitt, Jr. of DeSoto; son John and his wife Kris Schmitt of DeSoto; grandson Michael Schmitt of DeSoto; brothers James Tyson of Tennessee and Billy Tyson of Tennessee; sisters Earline Atkins of St Louis and Barbara Joyce of Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 11 am – 1 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm. Interment will be at Peaceful Ridge Cemetery, DeSoto, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in the choice of the donor.
