George Alvin Hancock of Desoto, Missouri passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at his residence at the age of 71 years. He was born December 20, 1948 at Qulin, Missouri, the son of the late Dudley and Adyline (Clubbs) Hancock. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Scott Hancock, daughter Trina Hancock and brother Dudley Hancock.
George was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 136, St Louis. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading his newspaper, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and numerous other relatives and many dear friends and neighbors.
George is survived by his wife Tracey (Beshears) Jo-Ann Hancock of DeSoto, MO; daughters Kristi Hancock of Louisville, KY, Megan Hall of DeSoto, MO, Mollie Hall of Festus, MO; brothers Richard (Alice) D Hancock of Carrollton, IL, Monroe (Barbara) A Hancock of High Ridge, MO, Arvel (Jean) E Hancock of West Plains, MO, Raymond (Kathy) L Hancock of Bernie, MO; granddaughters Addi Hancock and Jessica Shucart, grandson Christopher Shucart and numerous other relatives and many dear friends and neighbors.
Family will plan on a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto.
