Richard Allen Pinckard of Arnold, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at his residence at the age of 71 years. He was born on October 10,1949 at Hillsboro, Missouri the son of the late B. W. “Bill” and Lucille (McMickle) Pinckard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Almeda Rose (Harper) Pinckard, two brothers Bobby Pinckard and Karl Pinckard, and a sister Sharon Lee Pinckard.
Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of American Legion Post 283. He made his living as a carpenter and enjoyed building things and helping others build things. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by a daughter, Amy (Jeremy) McManus of Fayetteville, Arkansas, five brothers, Donald (Beverly) Pinckard of DeSoto, Missouri, Gary (Shelly) Pinckard of Festus, Missouri, Bart (Jenny) Pinckard of O’Fallon, Missouri, Craig Pinckard of DeSoto, and Eric Pinckard of Arnold, three sisters, Blanche Ellen Coomer, Shirley (Ken) Mobes, and Connie Pinckard all of the State of California, two grandchildren Brittany McManus and Hunter McManus of Fayetteville, Arkansas, three great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
There will be no formal services held at this time. Richard will be laid to rest with his wife and parents at Woodlawn Cemetery in DeSoto. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Camp Hope for Veterans or to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Mahn Funeral Home of DeSoto, Missouri.
