Obituary
Charles C. “Chuck” Moiser of DeSoto passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus at the age of 86 years. He was born on August 12, 1934 in St. Louis, the son of the late George Moiser and Flossie (Taylor) Walton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary E. (Reed) Moiser, a son Donald Moiser, brother George Moiser, Jr, and two sisters, Pauline Schott and Ruby Moiser.

Chuck was retired from Reynolds Aluminum in St. Louis where he had worked as a press operator in the printing shop. He had served in the Missouri National Guard and was a member of the DeSoto AmVets Post 48. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing bingo, and painting, but his favorite pass-time was building things.

He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him including his long-time companion Jenny Thurman of Desoto, two daughters, Terri (Duane) Guenther of Bloomsdale, and Tammy (Jerry Lincoln) Svboda of Desoto, a brother Earl (Jean) Moiser of DeSoto, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and many dear friends.

Friends may call from 5 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 am followed by a funeral service at 10 am with Pastor Mike Rose officiating. Interment will be at Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in DeSoto. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto, MO.
