Obituary Nikolas “Nik” James Tsapelas, 38, of Dittmer passed away, Saturday, January 9, 2021 after his long-standing struggle with PTSD and MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) with Parkinsons derived shortly after his discharge from service. He served in the Marine Corp. as a Mobile Multi Channel Equipment and Field Operator for four years with time spent in Iraq. Prior to his disability, he enjoyed fishing, nature trails, computer gaming and Star Trek. He was a graduate of ITT Tech with honors and Associates Degree in Multimedia and BA in Computer Science. He attended New Hope Fellowship Church and Ignite Church when possible. He is survived by his daughter Lily Tsapelas, 12; parents Gwendolyn J. Parrish and Gerald V. Parrish; his brother Eric and wife Kathy Parrish; his nephew, Logan Parrish; along with other family members and Brody his devoted dog. A Celebration of Life Service will be at held at Mahn Funeral Home Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave, Festus, Missouri, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home January 21, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
