James "Jim" Edward DeRousse, 77, of Festus, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, Missouri.
He was born November 30, 1943 in Festus, Missouri, son of Berlin Joseph and Wilma Imelda (Schilli) DeRousse.
On May 10, 1963 in Portland, Oregon he was united in marriage to Alline Louise Randall and to this union three children were born. They shared fifty-seven years together.
Jim worked as a track foreman for BNSF for 28 years until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing poker, hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
He served our country proudly in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 253.
He was a member of Our Lady Catholic Church, Festus, Missouri.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alline Louise DeRousse of Festus, his three sons, Jimmy (Kim) DeRousse of Sainte Genevieve, Joe (Amy) DeRousse of Festus, and Jerry DeRousse of Festus, his nine grandchildren, Jolie, Joey, Jacob, Jerrica, Jerrett, Jacklynn, Jenna, Jaidyn, and Jesse, his two great-grandchildren, Gage and Raeleigh, his three brothers, Danny (Rachel) DeRousse of Missouri, Tom (Mary) DeRousse of Stoutsville, and Steve (Gaye) DeRousse of DeSoto, his two sisters, Marie (Elmer) Perryman of Festus, and Patty (Charlie) Eaton of Festus.
James "Jim" was preceded in death by his parents.
