Kay was a simple person and absolutely loved living the simple life. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her including her husband Joseph Kenneth "Joe" Smith of DeSoto, Missouri, daughters Susan (Clint Thomas) Schouviller of St. Louis, Missouri and Dawn and husband Sean Stefanski of Hillsboro, Missouri, a brother Douglas and wife Becky Elrod of St. Louis, Missouri, four grandchildren, Joseph Dickerson, Courtney Schouviller, Nicole Stefanski, and Colton Schouviller, one great-grandbaby on the way, and numerous other relatives and many dear friends and other loved ones.
