William "Bill" L. Rayfield, 79, of Festus, Missouri, passed away, Saturday, February 20, 2021 in Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Crystal City, Missouri. He was born July 20, 1941 in St Louis, Missouri, son of Virgil and Madge (Mooney) Rayfield.
On December 16, 1961 in Lesterville, Missouri he was united in marriage to Wanda Lee Rumburg and to this union two children were born. They shared fifty nine years of marriage together.
Bill worked as a salesman in various industries. In his spare time, he enjoyed talking, working on computers, an avid follower of Southern Gospel music, but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family and grandchildren.
He was an active member of First Baptist Church Festus/Crystal City, Festus, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Rumburg) Rayfield of Festus, his daughter, Annette (Frosty) Acre of Hillsboro, his three grandchildren, Lee (Rebecca) Acre, Adam Acre, and Jordan (Lesalie) Acre, his two great grandchildren, Jacey Acre and Rhett Acre, numerous relatives and many dear friends.
He preceded in death by father, Virgil Rayfield, mother, Madge (Mooney) Rayfield, son, William "Lee" Rayfield.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church Festus/Crystal City, Festus, Missouri, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 10:00 am with Pastor Dan Pitchers and Pastor Jimmie Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Sandy Baptist Church Cemetery, Hillsboro, Missouri.
Friends will be received at First Baptist Church Festus/Crystal City, Festus, Missouri, Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. There will be an additional visitation the morning of the services at the church.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church Festus/Crystal City.
