Robert "Bob" L. Parmeley, 76, of DeSoto, passed away Mon, March 9, 2009 in St Louis. He was a 23 year employee as a rail tester for Sperry Rail Service and owned the Ivy Lounge in DeSoto from 1967-1974. He was a United States Navy veteran and served in the Korean War. He was also a member of St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in DeSoto and a member of the Amvets Post 48, Elks Lodge 689 and VFW Post 1831. Born September 5, 1932, in DeSoto to the late Roy L. and Julie (Craig) Parmeley.

He is survived by a son, Brian (Kristine) Parmeley of St Louis; daughters, Marcia (Doug) White of St Louis and Stacia White of St Louis; brothers, LeRoy (Sandy) Parmeley of DeSoto and Earl Parmeley of DeSoto; six grandchildren: Brooke, Kyle, Morgan, Jack, Grant and Loren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Clarence Parmeley.

Amvets Post 48 will perform service at 7pm Wed @ Chapel.
