Richard Lee Francis Riney,72, of Crystal City entered into rest Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

He had worked for Crystal City Water Dept, Doe Run Co in Herculaneum, laundry attendant for Country Woods Nursing Facility and later as a driver for Lemme Funeral Home and Mahn Funeral Home until his health failed. Born September 2, 1936, in St Marys, MO, to the late Quandell and Sylvia (Coffman) Riney. He was a member of Ward Chapel AME Church in Festus and had graduated from Douglas High School.

He leaves to mourn his passing, Earlene (Smith) Riney and Fannie Riney; daughter: Roberta "Michele" Riney of Crystal City; sons: Kenneth "Kenny" Riney of Festus and Darrin Henderson of Topeka, KS; a stepson, Terraine Cayce Sr of Hillsboro and his adopted son, Darvin Lemme of Festus; brothers: Donald (Mary) Riney of St Louis, Lindell Riney of Festus, Ivan Riney of Crystal City, Winston Riney of Utah, James (Laverne) Riney of St Louis; grandchildren: Jenise (Marcus) Tucker, Derek (Sara) and Devin Riney, Terraine II, Tory and Teresa Cayce; great grandchildren: Kyrin and Malik Tucker, Shandon and Tate Riney, Jamal Frazier, Alicia, Terraine III, Taleah, Miriah and James Cayce; aunt/godmother, Blondell Underwood; uncle, Lester (Bell) Riney; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Daniel Riney and daughter, Robin Riney; brother, Melvin Riney; sister, Bufil Jean Riney

Elder James Riney will officiate service.

Family and friends will meet at Funeral Home on Tues (April 7) at 9:00 am for procession to cemetery for burial.
