Mrs. Laura Francis Sterling, formerly of Lonedell, Missouri passed away at the Baptist Home on Hwy 72, Ironton, MO at the age of 97 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Mrs. Sterling was born October 17, 1911 in Nebraska; the daughter of the late George W. and Nora E (Weaver) Adams. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gilbert Sterling.
Mrs. Sterling is survived by a son, Gilbert "Edgar" Sterling of Steedman, Missouri; three daughters: Norma (Jack) Hagler of Park Hills, Lanora (Marvin) Briggs of Sullivan, and Laura "Ellen" James of St. Clair; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchilsren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
She was a member of the Women's Progressive Farmers Association Club and Oak Grove Baptist Church in Londell; she enjoyed cooking; her specialties were "milk gravy" and "apple pie". She loved her family.
