Obituary
Earl Hodges, 59, of DeSoto, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 30, 2009.

Earl was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church. He was also a member of the DeSoto Elks Lodge #689, where he served as Secretary, past Exalted Ruler, and served as the past Elks State Administrative Assistant in 2008. Earl was also a member of the Masonic Pendleton Lodge #551 of Doe Run, where he served as Junior Deacon.

Mr. Hodges was a veteran of US Army having served during the Vietnam Era. Earl was a clerk at the Recorder of Deeds Office for Jefferson County. He was born May 16, 1950 in Doe Run; the son of Margerite (Brannam) Hodges of Desloge, MO and the late Hansford Hodges.

Mr. Hodges was the beloved husband of Diana (Kuelker) Hodges; dear father of Tanya (Steven) Bergner of Hillsboro, Tommy Ray (Susan) Hodges of North Carolina, Cathy (Daniel) Moody of North Carolina; dear grandfather of Joshua, Miranda, Ayden Bergner and Matthew, Joshua, Logan, Devin, Bradley and Justin of North Carolina; dear brother of William Edward Hodges, John Steven (Barbara) Hodges, Ronald Eugene Hodges, Jeffrey Owen (Diane) Hodges, Aaron Lee Hodges all of Missouri, a sister, Gladys June Ramirez of California; and one sister-in-law, Charlotte Hodges of Missouri. He was a beloved uncle, great uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Hodges and a brother-in-law, Paul Ramirez.

Brother Stan Gibson will be officiating the funeral ceremony.
