Obituary
Shirley Ann (DeClue) McCoy, 71, of Festus entered into rest Tues, Feb 9, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born Sept 5, 1938, in Pevely, MO, to the late Harrison & Elmyra (Vincent) DeClue. She was a homemaker and had previously worked as chief deputy auditor at Hillsboro Courthouse and had been a mail carrier in the Bloomsdale area.

Survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James A. McCoy, Sr; son, James McCoy, Jr of Crystal City, MO and daughter, Cynthia A. Holst of Crystal City, MO; daughter-in-law, Ann Myers of Waterloo, IL; 8 grandchildren: Caleb, Brendan, Dylan, Regan, Mackenzie, Sam, Ethan & Jennifer; sister, Helen Pinckley of Prescott, AZ; adopted grandchildren: Steven, Marissa & Olivia; several nieces & nephews; extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by a son, Keith H. McCoy; son-in-law, Jeff Holst; brothers: William DeClue, George DeClue & Lloyd DeClue; sisters: Mildred Pippin & Maybelle Craig; sisters-in-law: Eva DeClue, Alberta DeClue & Florence DeClue; brother-in-law: Jack Pippin, Jarvis Craig & Carl Pinckley.

Shirley was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St Vincent DePaul Society, Peacemakers, she was a Eucharistic Minister at the Church, member of Jefferson County Womens Democratic Club and was instrumental in forming the Joachim-Plattin Democrat Club. She was always a supportive and an active volunteer in fundraisers for the Mt Zion Cemetery.
