James C. Miller, 80, of DeSoto passed away February 20, 2007 in Crystal City. Mr. Miller was a carpenter. A World War II veteran of U.S. Navy, he was a member of the Elks, AmVets, and VFW. Born March 20, 1926 in Judsonia, Arkansas, he was the son of the late James Dock and Florence Savanah Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Faye A. (King) Miller of DeSoto; two sons: Charles L. Miller of Desoto and James Michael Miller of DeSoto; two daughters: Susan D. (Frank) Perkins of DeSoto and Sheila J. (James) Luebbers of DeSoto; one brother, Claude (Inez) Miller of Judsonia, Arkansas; two sisters: Betty (Charles) Milner and Charlotte Ann (Keith)Rodkey. both of Florida; eight grandchildren; Bobbie and Jeremy Dierks, Amanda, Rebecca and Paul Luebbers. Stacie Miller Ramos, Christopher and Lynnsie Miller; and three great-grandchildren; Logen Courtois, Landen Brooks and Devon Ramos.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Dewayne Davis Miller; one brother, Meril Miller; and one great-grandchildren, Tayte Boyer.
Visitation on Thursday, February 22, 2007 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Mahn Funeral Home, Desoto Chapel. Funeral service was February 23, 2007, 11:00a.m.,officiated by Rev. Jim Owens.
