Obituary
Ray Franklin Dunn, Age 81, of DeSoto, died at his residence on Friday, December 3, 2010. Ray was born to the late Leslie and Bertha (Wisdom) Dunn in Marston, Missouri on March 26, 1929. He married his sweetheart, Leota ( Noland) on December 4, 1946 in New Madrid, Missouri.

He is survived by his loving wife, Leota; daughters: Patricia Mordis of DeSoto and Ruby McCord of DeSoto; a brother, Rondle "Pete" (Vicky) Dunn of Festus; sister-in-laws: Helen "Bernice" (Bobby) Payton of Dexter, Evelyn Dunn of St. Louis, and Charlotte Dunn of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren: Candy Rich, Tina Walker, John Mordis, Christine Lewis and Lee Mordis; eleven great-grandchildren: Frank and Cassie Walker, Brittain and Matthew Ketcherside, Elton, Kirsten, Jenna, Colin, Taylor and Brayden Mordis, and Nichi Welch; 1 great-great grandson: Nicholas Ketcherside; and good friend, Todd Hartry of Washington, MO

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter Loretta "Jean" Stogner; 4 brothers: Searl, Bobby, Earl and Tommy Dunn; 2 sisters: Annie Reno and Dolly Cheatham; and 2 son-in-laws: Elton Mordis and Harold McCord; 7 brother-in-laws: Ivan Reno, Harold Cheatham, Carol "Bun" Noland, Wilford "Bud" Noland, Paul "Gene" Noland, Herbert Noland and Don Noland; parent in-laws, Lloyd and Stella (Mayberry) Noland

Ray was a welder and then became foreman at Banner Iron Works until his retirement and served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the DeSoto VFW and the Plattin Boat Club.

The service will be officiated by Chaplain Danny Loesch.
