Russell Leo Hancock, 57, of Hillsboro, entered into rest Friday, March 18, 2011 at St. Anthony's Medical Center. He was retired from Hawkins Building Services as a high-rise window cleaner; he was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and had been a member of the Classic Car Club. Born July 18, 1953, in Poplar Bluff, MO, to the late Leo and Wilma (Wilks) Hancock.
He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 35 years, Janice (Griffin) Hancock; son, John J. Hancock of Pevely, MO; sisters: Joanne Ringo of Potosi, MO and Melinda Hancock of Potosi, MO; a granddaughter, Eowyn; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carl R. Hancock.
A burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will be scheduled for Friday, March 25, 2011 at 10:30am-procession will be departing from funeral home at 9:45am.
Chaplain Colleen Lopez will officiate service.
